Fifth-Generation Renault Clio Revealed!

As the brand’s best-selling model, and Europe’s best-selling supermini, the Renault Clio is a triumph and changing this popular car could be risky.

Initial impressions suggest that we have nothing to worry about, however. Knowing how well-loved the current version is, Renault has sensibly kept the upgrades relatively subtle.

Interior

Inside the new Renault Clio cars, the layout looks cleaner and solid and they are bursting with tech, including a ‘smart’ cockpit and a 9.3-inch touchscreen display. An ‘Easy Link’ system enables drivers to connect their smartphones seamlessly.

Exterior

On the outside, the Renault Clio doesn’t look too different from the previous version, although there are some new and exciting colour options to choose from.

While the total length of the car has been reduced, the Renault Clio still boasts the largest boot in the class, with a highly impressive capacity of 391 litres!

Engines and Trims

The brand has not yet revealed the full range of engines and trim levels on offer, although we do know that an R.S. Line trim will be launched to replace the GT-Line. This sporty option will feature 17-inch alloy wheels, a honeycomb grille, and interior design differences.

Making this little car even more significant for the manufacturer, it is the first model to use Groupe Renault’s new CMF-B platform. This gives is the potential for electrification.

Price

With the additional tech, the asking price of the new Renault Clio cars is likely to be a little higher than the current version, which will cost you £13, 615 to buy new.

The good news for used car buyers though, is that with a new version being launched, the previous used Renault Clio cars may become even more affordable to purchase!
